Henkel Acquires Hair Salon Brands

Alterna, SexyHair and Kenra in $370 million deal.

Henkel will buy three hair care companies based in the US for $370 million (270 million euros), with designs to boost its salon business, according to reports. The deal is via private equity firm TSG Consumer Partners and in cash. The salon brands in the transaction—SexyHair, Alterna and Kenra—have annual sales of about 140 million euros, added the reports.
